Adam Nemec did not finish the match of the highest Romanian football competition, in which FC Botosani and FC Voluntari teams faced each other. After the second yellow card, the former Slovak representative playing for the second mentioned team was sent off by the referee. He got the first one for a curious reason – he started with a wedding ring.
When Adam Nemec raised his hands in protest after one of his team’s mistakes in the 13th minute of the match, the head referee noticed that the Slovakian forward had a ring on his finger and without hesitation he issued a yellow card.
In the second half, the 38-year-old footballer was sent off after a foul from behind on Eduardo Florescu, when the visiting team was leading by one goal, and referee Szabolcs Kovacs showed Adam Nemec a second yellow card in the 61st minute of the match.
The players of FC Voluntari subsequently did not manage the game in a numerical disadvantage and thus had to be satisfied with the gain of one point.
