In honor of the anniversary of the actress Akvelīna Līvmane, a new collection can be viewed on the portal “filmas.lv” of the National Cinema Center (NKC) – six feature films with the participation of the anniversary, and four of them have not been available on the portal so far.

The filmography of actress Akvelīna Līvmane has a special place in the history of Latvian cinema – the characters she portrays in several films accurately and capaciously reflect the image of a modern woman of the 20th century with all the problems typical of this era.

The anniversary collection of the portal “filmas.lv” allows you to trace this image gallery, starting with the boyish girl Anita in the first major role of the actress, in the film Ābols rivers (1974, director Aivars Freimanis) and presenting in the 21st century, when Akvelīna Līvmane receives Kristaps the role of the independent Astra in Jānis Streičs’ film Autumn Roses (2004) and plays the heart-wise grandmother Irma Vara Brasla in her centenary film Grandfather, which is more dangerous than a computer (2017).

The information specialist of the National Film Center tells more about it Kristīne Matīsa.
