Actor Will Poulter Stands Up to Internet Trolls and Embraces Neurodiversity in Candid Interview

The unmissable British actor Will Poulter, who you probably know as the skinny weird guy from the movie The Millers on a Trip, recently surprised fans with his appearance and expressions. He publicly stood up to all the internet trolls who constantly can’t resist commenting on his appearance. The 30-year-old star recently commented on the rumors surrounding his appearance and his struggle with dyspraxia.

Dyspraxia, also known as Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), is no obstacle in Poulter’s life, quite the opposite. In an interview with GQ magazine, he emphasized that people should not perceive neurodiversity as a limitation, but instead as something special and advanced. “There are things in that disease that I use as an actor to be better at my job,” Poulter stated.

But what about the eternal comments on his appearance? Poulter has been known to be very aware of his unconventional appearance and has always been the target of comments regarding his eyebrows and other physical features. “Why do we spend so much time discussing people’s looks?”, contemplates the actor, adding: “Social media has created a kind of dogmatic idea that every opinion on everything has equal weight.” Today, he allegedly doesn’t do anything about it.

Poulter also admitted that he struggled in school as a child due to dyslexia and developmental coordination disorder. “I felt that no matter how hard I tried, I was getting nowhere. That is the most demoralizing thing for a child ever.” he admitted in 2013. Fortunately for him, he found meaning in life in his love for dramatic art and acting.

His filmography includes blockbusters such as Labyrinth: Escape, REVENANT Resurrection, Solstice or Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3. Born on January 28, 1993, he began his career as a teenager playing the role of Eustace Scrubb in the film The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader from 2010. For his main his role in the film The Millers on a Trip even won critical acclaim in the form of a BAFTA Rising Star Award.

In addition to his acting career, Will Poulter is also a devoted fan of the football club Arsenal FC. His passion for the famous London club has also infected the seven-year-old son of his girlfriend Bobby T, who is 14 years his senior. She has been an elite model since the age of 15, and after Poulter’s recent body transformation, there is nothing wonder she ended up with him.
