Dieter Laser is dead. As the actor’s wife announced, Laser had already died in late February. He was 78 years old.
The actor Dieter Laser is dead. This was announced by his wife Inge Laser on Friday to the German Press Agency. Dieter Laser therefore died on February 29 in Berlin. A few days earlier, on February 17, he had turned 78.
Laser played with Hollywood stars such as Burt Lancaster, John Malkovich and Glenn Close, among others. In 1975 he was awarded the title role in his first feature film (“John Glückstadt “) with the German Film Award for best actor.
Most recently, the actor was seen last year at the Bad Hersfeld Theater Festival. There he embodied the role of lawyer Huld in the Kafka classic “Das Prozess” (director: Joern Hinkel). (dpa / thp)
