Acting head of Kamchatka reported to Mishustin on the readiness of schools for the academic year | In Russia | Politics

Acting head of the Kamchatka Territory Vladimir Solodov reported to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin on the readiness of schools in the region by September 1.

According to TASS, Solodov told the prime minister that the readiness of all 294 schools in the region has been ensured, and that current repairs are being completed in two. Also, all schools are additionally equipped with disinfectants.

In total, according to the Acting Governor, two billion rubles were allocated to prepare all educational institutions for the new academic year. Solodov also expressed the hope that the epidemiological situation will allow starting the new academic year in full-time format.

During his speech, Solodov thanked the Prime Minister for the government’s decision to allocate 96 million rubles to provide students with hot meals. According to the head of the region, in Kamchatka, 15 thousand schoolchildren will receive such food.

On the eve of Mikhail Mishustin, who is now located on a week-long trip to the Far Eastern Federal District, signed an order on the direction of budgetary allocations in the amount of 21.8 billion rubles for the organization of free hot meals for schoolchildren.

The Ministry of Education was instructed to conclude agreements with the highest executive bodies of state power of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation on the provision of subsidies from the federal budget for catering within two weeks.
