Ciliandra Fangiono is the youngest billionaire in the ranks of 50 the richest man in Indonesia according to Forbes. His current wealth is Rp. 33.4 trillion.

Quoted from Forbes, Friday (17/2/2023), this 46-year-old man has a fortune of up to US$ 2.2 billion or around Rp. 33.4 trillion (exchange rate of Rp. 15,205/dollar). With his wealth, he managed to rank 20th in the Forbes list of the 50 richest people in Indonesia.

As is known, the list of the 50 richest people in Indonesia according to Forbes for 2022 is dominated by veteran businessmen. The row of rich people has an average age of 60-80 years and over.

Meanwhile, Ciliandra Fangiono was included in the list of the 40 richest people in Indonesia by Forbes magazine for the first time in 2009. In 13 years, no billionaire younger than his age has surpassed his wealth.

It is known that Ciliandra Fangiono is the CEO of First Resources, a company that operates palm oil plantations covering hundreds of thousands of hectares and dozens of palm oil factories. His wealth was obtained from the palm oil company.

First Resources is a Singapore-registered palm oil company with plantations in Indonesia. The Fangiono family owns a majority stake in First Resources, where his father, Martias, founded the company more than two decades ago.

Prior to joining the family business, Ciliandra worked in Merrill Lynch’s investment banking division in Singapore. He is a Senior Bachelor of Economics and was awarded the PriceWaterhouse Book Prize while studying at the University of Cambridge.

As for most of his wealth, he got after in 2021 the family announced its oil palm plantation company FAP Agri, which is controlled by Ciliandra’s older sister, Wirastuty.

As additional information, when Ciliandra first entered the ranks of the 40 richest people in Indonesia in 2009, his wealth was estimated at US$ 710 million or the equivalent of Rp. 10.9 trillion (adjusting to current exchange rates).

Then in 2020, Ciliandra Fangiono was recorded as having assets of US$ 1.1 billion or the equivalent of Rp. 16.7 trillion. In 2021, his assets will continue to increase to US$ 1.8 billion or the equivalent of Rp. 27.3 trillion.
