CES 2023 will be held soon from January 5 to January 8, 2023. Various famous technology brands in the world have started to showcase a variety of new products to be exhibited there.
Acer is a tech brand that will be introducing a number of new products there, one of which is the Acer Predator Helios 18 which has a colossal sized screen and is armed with an Intel Raptor Lake HX processor.
Launched by NotebookCheck, the 18-inch Acer Predator Helios 18 comes with various screen configurations, such as WUXGA (1920 x 1200) 165Hz, WQXGA (2560 x 1600) 165Hz, WQXGA 240Hz and WQXGA 250Hz with Mini LED screen.
The screen with the AU Optronics Mini LED panel has a peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits and supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. The laptop keyboard will offer per-button mini LED backlighting, and of course, it features RGB.
For the kitchen stimulus, users can choose between the Intel Core i9-13900HX or Core i7-13700HX, and unfortunately Acer hasn’t mentioned in detail the GPU options it can accommodate. However, it is highly suspected that this huge screen laptop could house at least one NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 or RTX 4080.
For the cooling system, this laptop uses Acer’s 5th generation Dual AeroBlade fan, liquid metal and Vector heat pipes which are capable of keeping the temperature of the components from overheating. Also, this laptop has a battery capacity of 90Wh which requires 330W charging.
As the weight of this laptop goes up to 3.25kg, this gaming laptop is unlikely to be carried around freely by its users and is more used as a substitute for a desktop PC in the room. The laptop itself has a full complement of ports such as two Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, an unknown number of USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, and a Killer Wi-Fi 6 module and Killer Ethernet jack.
The Acer Predator Helios 18 is already available for presale in the European, Middle Eastern and African markets, as well as the Chinese market, with prices starting at around IDR 47 million per unit.
