According to an analyst, there is not much chance of the Nintendo Switch Pro coming out!

With the big N Nintendo Switch console, which can be called a successful N, be five years old this year, maybe we should talk about a successor rather than a half-generation upgrade (which Sony and Microsoft might be able to do in this generation as well).

During 2021, we often reported an allegedly more powerful Nintendo Switch model, dubbed the Nintendo Switch Pro for lack of a better idea (since it was rumored). The Japanese console manufacturer finally announced a new version of the “switch,” but the Nintendo Switch OLED model, launched in October, has only improved in terms of display and dock, and performance hasn’t changed, so it can’t even be called a half-generation innovation (but rather a Nintendo 3DS and the same as the XL versions seen here for the Nintendo 2DS).

Even so, there are those who believe in the release of the Nintendo Switch Pro, but those in question are no longer sure what format (hardware) or when it will be available if the big N really chooses to do so. They do not include Piers Harding-Rolls, an analyst at Ampere Analysis who a Gamesindustrynak talked about why we shouldn’t be afraid of the release of the fourth version of the Switch (since the non-dockable Nintendo Switch Lite is also available in 2022 in addition to the basic version!)…

The analyst does not consider this year’s performance in the console market to be strong, as Nintendo Switch sales are slowly starting to decline after Harding-Rolls sees the last few years of console video games as a great period. But even so, he sees the Nintendo Switch product line going to be at the forefront this year as well, with approx. With 21 million pieces of hardware sold, the OLED version will play an important role. All he said about the Nintendo Switch Pro is that he doesn’t expect that. Ampere Analysis predicts the next-generation Nintendo console by 2024, so he’s not convinced the Switch Pro will be released.

There is rationality in your train of thought. If the Nintendo Switch Pro were to come out this year, it would be as if Sony had launched the PlayStation 4 Pro in 2018. (It started in November 2016, THREE and not FIVE years after the basic version!)
