Academician Denkov’s office reported its activities in the 10th month, including in the agricultural sector – 2024-04-04 12:12:23

Report for the done by the government on Academician Nikolay Denkov in the 10th extraordinary month was sent to the media.

“In the last month of its administration, the regular cabinet mobilized all efforts to advance the most important decisions for the benefit of people and business – so that the transition to an official cabinet is smooth and the state does not stop working, regardless of the complicated political environment “, the report states.

The document states that the Bulgarian economy is growing against the background of the contraction in Europe – by 1.8% for 2023. In February of this year inflation is decreasing and slowing to 3.3% on an annual basis and 0.3% on a monthly basis.

On March 31, Bulgaria became a Schengen member by air and water.

The Government has adopted the order for putting into operation an Automated Information System for issuing the so-called “Blue Card”. This system will digitize the processes related to the issuance of residence and work permits to foreigners in Bulgaria and will reduce the administrative burden for all participants.

It indicates what has been done in a number of sectors – energy, transport, education, social policy and others.

Regarding agriculture, the following is recorded:

46,334 small and medium-sized farmers received BGN 154 million from the State Fund for Agriculture (DFZ) under the scheme for redistributive support for Campaign 2023 – at a rate of BGN 218.34 per hectare. This is 50% more compared to Campaign 2022, when farmers were paid BGN 140.81 per hectare. The increase in the intervention budget was recorded in the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas for the period 2023-2027. The so-called redistributive support is tied to the “Basic Income Support for Sustainability” scheme, which subsidizes all areas eligible for financing, applied for by farmers. According to this basic scheme, in December last year, the DFZ paid farmers more than BGN 550 million.
