The Ministry of Education and Technical Education announced the time map for the new academic year 2023-2024, as it starts on Saturday, September 30, 2023, to Saturday, June 8, 2024 for all different educational stages for public, official, official languages, private and private languages, provided that the half-term vacation begins. The academic year is on January 27, 2024.
The ministry also announced that international schools wishing to start school early will be allowed at the beginning of the last week of August, after submitting a request to the Ministry of Education to obtain the necessary approval.
The time map for the academic year 2023-2024 showed the number of weeks for the academic year 35 weeks as follows:
The first semester starts from September 30, 2023 to Thursday, January 25, 2024.
First semester exams start Sunday, January 14, 2024.
The start of the first semester exam for transfer classes in technical education schools, and the basic competencies exam for transfer classes in technical education schools (Jadarat) on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
The start of the second semester, Saturday, February 10, 2024, to Thursday, June 6, 2024.
The start of the second semester exams for the transfer and preparatory certificate classes, Saturday, May 25, 2024.
Technical diploma exams start on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
The start of high school exams, Saturday, June 15, 2024.
The last week is devoted to revision for all grades.
– The exam period for the first and second semesters is considered within the actual study days and is calculated within the legally stipulated attendance rate.
The duration of the mid-year vacation is two weeks, starting from Saturday, January 27, 2024, and ending on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
– These appointments include all different stages of education in public, official, language, and private schools.
