Big sale AC Milan continues. This time it’s the turn Andre Silva which is released to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Silva spent last season at the German club on loan. He performed well by scoring 16 goals in all competitions, Frankfurt’s top scorer after losing Sebastian Haller, Luka Jovic, and Ante Rebic.
Despite failing to bring Frankfurt to qualify for European competition this season, because it only finished ninth position, performance Andre Silva satisfying Frankfurt. Therefore, Frankfurt decided to permanent Silva with a three-year contract.
“We have seen how Andre is capable of in recent months,” said Frankfurt Sports Director Fredi Bobic, as quoted by Sportskeeda.
“It is not a coincidence that he is the most productive striker after the Bundesliga starts again. He is still young and a flexible player. He is still 24 years old, still has the potential to be better,” he continued.
“We believe we can make him level up in Frankfurt and we are satisfied to sign this extraordinary striker until the summer of 2023.”
Silva failed miserably with Milan after being purchased in June 2017 for 38 million euros from Porto. He only appeared eight times in Serie A and made 10 goals in 40 appearances.
After that, Milan loaned Andre Silva to Sevilla two seasons ago, he was also not good enough because he only made 11 goals in 40 appearances. Only then did Silva rise in Frankfurt last season.
No mention of the price Andre Silva. But at least Milan can reduce the Portuguese player’s salary burden considering they are washing the warehouse to welcome the 2020/2021 season, for the sake of a healthy financial report.
In conjunction with Andre Silva, there is also Giacomo Bonaventura who was released to Fiorentina.
