Abu Dhabi’s gross domestic product reached 278.3 billion dirhams for the last quarter of 2022, compared to 262.7 billion dirhams in the last quarter of 2021, a growth of 5.93%.
According to the data of the Statistics Center – Abu Dhabi, the non-oil gross domestic product increased to 193.5 billion dirhams in the last quarter of 2022, compared to 133.2 billion dirhams in the last quarter of 2021, a growth of 4.7%.
The oil gross domestic product (extractive industries include oil and natural gas) grew by 7.1%, rising to 138.7 billion dirhams, compared to 129.5 billion dirhams in the same period of 2021.
The contribution of the construction activity rose to 22.4 billion dirhams, compared to 21.5 billion dirhams in the same period of 2021, with a growth of 14%. The contribution of the accommodation and food services activity rose to 2.5 billion dirhams in the fourth quarter of 2022, compared to 2.3 billion dirhams in the same period 2021, with a growth of 8.6%.
The contribution of information and communication activities increased to 7.3 billion dirhams, compared to 6.8 billion dirhams in the same period 2021, with a growth of 7.3%. The contribution of financial activities and insurance activities grew to 16.4 billion dirhams, compared to 15.5 billion dirhams in the same period 2021, with a growth of 5.8%.
Real estate activities recorded an increase in their contribution to the GDP, to reach 9.3 billion dirhams in the fourth quarter of 2022, compared to 7.9 billion dirhams in the same period of 2021, with a growth rate of 17.7%.
The contribution of human health and social service activities increased to 4.3 billion dirhams, compared to 3.8 billion dirhams during the same period 2021, with a growth of 10.7%.
