This is one of the consequences desired by Europe, after its members banned Russian planes, civil or military, line or private, to fly over their territory. Yesterday Sunday, as spotted by the newly created “Russian Oligarch Jets” account, Roman Abramovich’s private jet left the soil of Luxembourg to cross the borders and reach Latvia.

It is in Riga, or in the suburbs close to the capital, that the Chelsea boss’ device landed. His jet is a model, Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global 6000, depending on the configuration, it is worth more or less, forty million euros. It is one of the business jets that can swallow the greatest distance; up to nearly 10,000 kilometers of range and a cruising speed of over 900 km/h. It is over thirty meters long and approaches them in wingspan.

A plane for wealthy businessmen like the boss of Chelsea
This jet can accommodate up to three crew members and more than ten passengers, depending on the interior configuration. Registered LX-LUX, that of Roman Abramovich is recognizable by the anthracite color, on the tail and the end of the wings of the aircraft. The Russian oligarch would have another plane in his possession, bigger because of the Airbus type.
