About twenty professionals will work at the Nantes Nord health center

New stage in the profound transformation of Nantes Nord. On Friday 4 March, in the presence in particular of Pascal Bolo, district assistant, the foundation stone of the future multi-professional health center was laid. In the spring of 2023, at 105 rue des Renards, in front of the Stendhal college, about twenty health professionals will settle there: doctors, physiotherapists, nurses, midwives, etc. “ It will allow access for all, in proximity, to health “, greets the city councilor of the City of Nantes. But this equipment, installed on the ground floor of a real estate project consisting of 68 mixed housing units, “ it will also be the home of all the inhabitants, there will be attention to health education, prevention and there will be community life. »

Conceived at the beginning of the 2010s, this retirement home – which will cover an area of 900 m2 – is eagerly awaited by the inhabitants and professionals who have participated in its creation. ” It’s been a long road, a long work, but we’ve gotten there » explains Pascal Bolo. The project was notably initiated by Sylvie Chesneau, general practitioner: “ Installed in the district since the end of 2010, I realized that there were more and more patients in very precarious health conditions. We had difficulty coping with the demand for assistance. Talking to a colleague who founded the first health center in Clisson, I thought that equipment like this would be relevant for Nantes Nord. That’s how the adventure began. »

The nursing home is managed by Novapole Immobilier, with the support of the City of Nantes, the Pays de la Loire Region and the National Agency for Urban Renewal (ANRU).
Its total cost is 2.1 million euros:

  • Loan of 1.265 million euros,
  • 300,000 euros from the Region,
  • 210,000 from the ANRU,
  • 390,000 for Novapole real estate.

The city of Nantes has provided funding of up to €117,500 for preliminary studies, support and development. It will finance the rent of 40% of the spaces for making the premises and spaces available for the prevention work of the associations.
