About GoFood’s New Commission Scheme, MSME Association: Applications Are Already Arrogant! The all page

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Gojek through its food delivery service namely GoFood enact scheme a commission of 20 percent + IDR 1,000 to business partners who are members of GoFood since March 5, 2021.

In response to that, the General Chair of the Association UMKM Indonesia (It’s cold) Ikhsan Ingratubun assessed that GoFood’s attitude shows its arrogance towards MSMEs.

He argued that the application of 20 percent + Rp 1,000 should not be charged to SME merchant partners.

“It should be that the customer is charged or buyer. Because the buyer is the beneficiary. We from the association see that the application has started to be arrogant towards MSMEs, “he said when contacted Kompas.com, Friday (19/3/2021).

Ikhsan explained, in this scheme, sellers or MSME actors such as those who work or seek money for platform providers. Thus, the income earned by MSMEs is reduced.

According to him, in terms of utilizing this application, it is actually the buyer who has the most advantages. Because buyers do not need to pay for transportation costs, do not need parking fees and there is no risk of accidents of a physical nature.

“So if you look at this, the buyer has no problem with additional costs. Do not charge it merchant UMKM, “he said.

Ikhsan also assessed that the application of this tariff is not in line with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) ‘s siding with MSMEs.

“Pak Jokowi told to love MSME products and I think this is not in line with what he asked for. GoFood and other applications should be. ngeh, must be aware, “explained Ikhsan.

Ikhsan, who also owns Raja Konro Daeng Mana’s business, admitted that he did not follow this scheme in his business.

“I don’t even have it in my place, I don’t make it,” he said.

Previously, GoFood implemented a new scheme to attract their commissions, from the previous 12 percent + IDR 5,000 of each product sold, to 20 percent + IDR 1,000 of each product sold to new business partners who had just joined since March 5, 2021.

Gojek Food Ecosystem Vice President Corporate Affairs Rosel Lavina said the new commission scheme was carried out as a response to the aspirations of business partners and in line with GoFood’s commitment to continue to prioritize business growth for business partners, especially culinary MSMEs.
