Aaron Judge Hits Longest Home Run of MLB Season, Leads New York Yankees Resurgence to Top of East Division

After a slow start to the harvest MLB, Judge Aaron it seems to be back as a cornerstone of the New York Yankees.

The Bombers captain has hit five home runs in the past two weeks, finishing with 12 RBIs in that stretch with a .340 average and .446 on-base percentage. As if that wasn’t enough, he created an important record on Thursday night.

In fact, Judge hit his ninth homer of the tournament in the third and final game of the series between his team and the Houston Astros. A hit that took off at 115.7 miles per hour and landed at 473 feet, the longest of the current MLB year, equaling the one hit on April 1 by a star outfielder Los Angeles Angels, Mike Trout.

“There are not many people who can take the ball to that place. There are a few who can do it”said Yankees manager Aaron Boone, regarding the Dantesque hit by his star player.

Of course, the American League MVP’s home run in 2022 didn’t stop New York from seeing its five-game winning streak, which had returned to the top of the East Division in the young round, tied with the Baltimore Orioles.

For now, Aaron Judge seems determined to get his offensive performance back and help the Yankees qualify for the postseason, after a disappointing performance the year before.
