A2 to Amsterdam closed due to overturned truck: two hours delay | Inland

The truck has now been towed to the side and three of the five lanes are open again, Rijkswaterstaat reports. As a result, the delay will gradually decrease. At around 8 a.m., the delay was still about 45 minutes.

Rijkswaterstaat reports that traffic between Utrecht and Amsterdam no longer has to make a detour via junction Oudenrijn (A12), Hilversum (A27) and the A1.

The A2 between Utrecht and Amsterdam is part of the diversion route for the closed A12 between Utrecht and The Hague. As a result, it is now extra busy on the southern diversion route via the A27 and A15.

There were no injuries in the accident. An unknown liquid leaked from the truck onto the road surface.
