A2 closed this weekend between Echt and Eindhoven | Inland

The closure will only be canceled in case of bad weather because Rijkswaterstaat cannot carry out maintenance on the highway.

Rijkswaterstaat reports that traffic is being diverted and that people should take into account extra travel times of up to half an hour. Traffic from the south will be diverted from the Het Vonderen junction via the A73 to Venlo, and from there on the A67 to Eindhoven. Traffic from Eindhoven goes in the opposite direction via the A67 to Venlo and from there via the A73 to Maastricht.

Rijkswaterstaat carries out regular maintenance such as asphalting, maintenance of crash barriers and the replacement of joint transitions.
