The victim was Kata Emperger-Siklósi, who is also a dog trainer. He had seen the aggressive dog several times in the district, even playing with his own dogs.

“I went along the usual route, where a large mixed-breed dog was tied up next to a convenience store; noticing this, I went even further from the dog and changed direction minimally to avoid the entire convenience store, at that moment the dog jumped, the carabiner was released and the it jumped out at me.
I tried to stay firm and position myself so that he could reach me as little as possible. He got caught in my jacket several times, once I almost fell! Meanwhile, I shouted loudly. “Go away!” This startled him a bit, but in the meantime he got in front of me and jumped at me again, then he bit my thigh, and then grabbed my hand.
That’s when its owner came out of the convenience store and finally caught the dog,” Kata recalled.
The dog’s owner accompanied Kata to the surgery, where the dog’s vaccination booklet was presented, so there was no need for a rabies vaccination.
Kata wants as few people as possible to experience such horrors, so she told us what to do in a similar case:
You can’t really prepare for dog attacks, but if such a situation does arise, I advise you to definitely try to keep your composure and be decisive: don’t despair, don’t wave, don’t start running. Yell at the dog in a firm voice to scare him away
