A wind turbine like sixteen solar panels, here’s how to optimize the space on the roof of the house

Designed to be easy to mount on any flat roof, compact in size, safe due to the absence of the blade and generous in terms of energy production, the new born Aeromine Technologies could to give new impetus to the wind sector, allowing the installation of turbines on residential buildings, shopping centers and offices, currently cut off from this source of green energy.

Through own sitethe company explained how Aeromine, its wind units work, also releasing a video; thanks to their particular design they are able to capture and amplify the air flows around the building, even if the wind speed was less than 8 km / hlike the airfoils of a racing car do.

Unlike classic turbines, these are immobile and they occupy 1/10 of the space needed by a photovoltaic system and can produce up to 50% more electricity; moreover, according to the start-up, they are able to generate energy 24 hours a day and in any weather condition.

Aeromine systems consist of 20-40 units installed on the edge of a building facing the predominant direction of the wind and interact perfectly with the electrical system already present in the building; according to the company the wind units can adequately integrate the production of energy obtained from the Sun, providing 100% of the energy needs on site and making the storage system superfluous.

A joint research between Sandia National Laboratories of Albuquerque and Texas Tech University has validated the efficiency of the project and of the production system conceived by Aeromine Technologies which supplied some units to BASF Corporation, one of the largest chemical companies in the world, so to be tested at BASF’s manufacturing facility in Wyandotte, Michigan.
