A “three-star economy classified hotel” is due to open in December 2023, Froutven area, boulevard de Coataudon in Guipavas, very close to the Decathlon, with eleven employees. Work should begin in September 2022. This will be the first hotel in this business area, which already hosts restaurants but above all brands such as Ikea or Leroy Merlin and, ultimately, the future Stade Brestois 29 stadium. wants to be innovative and it is carried by Pauline Le Calvez (26 years old, daughter of the former president of transport Le Calvez in Guipavas), and by wall-walls, promoter-investor. Two local companies that will operate the franchise d’Accor « Greet »a dozen hotels in France and Europe including one in Pacé (35), and about fifteen under construction and a target of 300 in ten years.

70 rooms

Innovative because the hotel (an R + 2 over 3,000 m2 with 43 parking spaces) will promote local supplies for the breakfast and snacks that will be offered (this is more common in restaurants), and because it will use recycling a lot (thanks to china, local partnerships and a national Accor with Emmaüs). The rooms will each have at least three second-hand decorative objects and different themes. “We don’t want standardized rooms and dormitories”, summarizes Pauline Le Calvez.

Easily accessible

The hotel will have 70 rooms, from €70, some of which are family rooms from €90 with breakfast at €10 (prices subject to change between now and the opening). No reception area is provided but the welcome will be friendly around the bar. A meeting room of 30 to 35 m2 will complete the set.

All this not far from the end of the tram line, very close to the dual carriageway which connects the two national roads going towards Quimper and Morlaix. This will be the closest hotel to the airport, pending the creation of an Océania at the airport. The investment will be around €5 million. The architect, Totemis installed Quai Tabarly (the marina of the Castle) in Brest.

Mur-murs (€15 million in turnover) already created a three-star hotel with 70 rooms last year, next to its headquarters, in the polder, with a top floor devoted to offices: Le Foil.
