Scientists in different parts of the world continue their search everywhere, to reveal all new information about the emerging corona virus, which threatens all humans in the recent period.

The new threat to humans is how long the Corona virus will survive in frozen meat and fish, which is reviewed by “Masrawy”, according to “thesun” newspaper.

A new study found that the Corona virus can live on frozen meat and fish for three weeks, as scientists warn that contaminated food can cause an outbreak of Covid-19, because it lives in low temperatures.

Individual portions of salmon and chicken were cut from supermarkets in Singapore, and a sample of coronavirus was added to them.

Then the infected meat and fish were stored at freezing temperatures to see if the virus could survive, and they were placed in conditions that mimic those used to transport food between countries – between 4 degrees Celsius, which is the standard cooling temperature, and 20 degrees Celsius. Below zero, which is the standard freezing temperature, and after 21 days, the coronavirus was still present in meat and fish samples.

Scientists now warn that this may explain the outbreak in countries that have not had any cases of coronavirus for long periods, and it could lead to an increase in the future.

The study states the following: “There is a need for an explanation for the re-emergence of the Corona outbreak in countries that did not have any cases, after recent outbreaks appeared in Vietnam, New Zealand and parts of China where there were no infections a few months ago.”

The study reveals: “The import of contaminated food and its packaging is a disastrous source for such epidemics, while it can be said that the transmission of infection through contaminated food is not a major path of infection, so the possibility of contaminated items moving to an area where Corona does not exist, and the start of the outbreak is an important hypothesis,” It is likely to cause a new outbreak. “
