An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale hit central Argentina on Tuesday night.
Bloomberg News quoted the US Geological Survey as saying that the epicenter of the earthquake is 63 km southwest of the city of St. Louis and a depth of 10 km.
There was no immediate word on casualties or damage.
