A bad day for Meta. This Tuesday, parallel to a massive interruption of WhatsApp, a bug also affected the Instagram application, and in particular the functioning of the stories, reports phonandroid.
Many users of the social network have identified a problem with the visibility of the stories at the end of the morning. These apparently passed very quickly, leaving no time for Internet users to see them correctly, react or respond to them.
Already a breakdown in early October
Clearing the cache or reinstalling the app doesn’t seem to fix the problem. That said, the bug affected a relatively small number of users and was fixed within hours. Other app features like Post, Reels, and Messages worked great.
Instagram, which had already been hit by a major outage on iOS in early October, did not report this bug, it specifies phonandroid. Without a doubt, the employees of the Meta group were already committed to solving the global problem of sending messages that paralyzed WhatsApp for several hours at the same time. This bug was also fixed during the day and Meta apologized to users.
