A solar storm with a speed of 300 km per second will hit the earth, what are the risks?

SERAMBINEWS.COM – Sun storm (solar winds) are moving and ready to hit the Earth. Experts say these solar storms could cause geomagnetic chaos on Earth.

Launch Express.uk, this solar storm is born from flares that come from sunspots close to Earth.

Experts believe a solar storm could reach Earth on Wednesday (16/6/2021) yesterday and continue to impact our planet for the next 24 hours.

According to the astronomy website Space Weather, Sun storm moving at a speed of more than 300 kilometers (km) per second. This means that this speed exceeds one million kilometers per hour.

Space Weather researcher Dr Tony Philips said geomagnetic chaos is unlikely to occur on June 15-16, 2021, when solar wind flows hit Earth’s magnetic field.

“Gas material flows from the southern vent in the sun’s atmosphere. An enlarged crescent is unlikely to interfere with high-latitude aurorae,” he said.

Fortunately, he said, this solar storm will not cause more damage to the aurora.

The aurora which includes the northern lights, aurora borealis and southern lights, aurora australis, is caused when solar particles hit the atmosphere.

When the magnetosphere is bombarded by solar storms, a stunning blue light can appear as the layers of the atmosphere bend the particles.

Fortunately, time has passed and there have been no reports of major damage to activity on Earth.
