The girl’s grandmother also killed one from their offspring before years, residents recall of the village of Lazarovo
A one-year-old and 9-month-old girl was killed by her mother in the Pleven village of Lazarovo, police and city prosecutors said.
This probably happened on October 22 last year. The same day, the 22-year-old woman left the village.
Her name is Marinela, learned “24 hours” from the villagers. They remember that Marinela’s mother killed one of her children many years ago as a newborn, but she was not in prison.
Although her child was already dead, the young woman posted many photos on Facebook, which she laughs at, her neighbors wonder. At that time, the little girl was wanted by her grandfather. Just days earlier, Marinela had posted a photo of her baby and written “My Love,” according to a 24 Chasa check. A month after the murder of her child, the young woman notes that she is celebrating her manor day with a young man.
On Thursday afternoon, in a conversation with psychologists and police, the mother Marinela confessed to the murder of her child. She took investigators to parts of the baby’s body that were found in the house. DNA tests have been ordered to prove that they are from her child.
Evidence is being gathered about the mechanism of the crime. The mother’s motives for the murder are also unclear. A complex forensic psychiatric examination is forthcoming to show whether she is sane. Details about the brutal crime were told by Pleven District Prosecutor Vladimir Nikolov, his deputy Nikolay Pachevski, police chief Veselin Vatov and criminal sector chief Hristo Terziev.
The child was raised by his mother. She took good care of him. Her father, who gave her money, helped her. They lived in a common household and maintained good living conditions in the house. The relations in the family were normal and did not give grounds to the police and the authorities for suspicions that the child is in danger, the investigators explained.
The girl disappeared on October 22 last year. A month later, on November 23, the grandfather reported to the police and the social services that his daughter and grandson had left their home in Lazarovo. The child was declared wanted by the state only on December 23 last year, after he was not found in Pleven district.
Three disciplinary proceedings have been instituted against police officers for delaying the search for the child and missing work, said Senior Commissioner Veselin Vatov.
The 56-year-old grandfather of the murdered child has been convicted. He has a criminal record, but so far there is no evidence that he was involved in the death of his grandson.
The father of the dead girl did not recognize him and never lived with his mother, even on a marital basis.
