Retired artist, Zizi Adel, said that if time returned, he would not have experienced the Star Academy program, which he participated in one of its seasons years ago, and was the reason for his fame.
And he added in the “Kalam al-Nas” program broadcast on MBC Egypt and presented by the presenter, Yasmine Ezz: “Honestly, if time came back to me, I certainly wouldn’t leave for my decisions now, changing my way of thinking, and approach our Lord”.
And she continued: “Star Academy, my experience, the beginning of success and launch. After the program, I came down and found myself famous, even though I had no songs or albums, but I was famous, like I sang for 10 years old. I didn’t believe I received people at the airport because there was no television, nor did I have a mobile phone. I didn’t know what was going on outside. After watching, you will be shocked that you are famous and well known.
And he revealed a surprise, after Yasmine asked if cameras were anywhere on the programme, to which Zizi replied: “There was a camera everywhere. The toilets had cameras, but not in the toilet itself, but in front of the sinks and at the mirrors, and you were washing your hands and there were cameras, and that was it.” A bit annoying, and for the first few days it felt like I was being watched.”
In April 2022, the artist, Zizi Adel, decided to retire from singing and posted a video clip on her account on the ‘Instagram’ site, in which she said: ‘I am about to tell a very important news that I have taken into consideration my life, and it may be the most important news I have made in my life, which is the decision to retire.I have decided to leave the profession.

She added: ‘It’s possible I didn’t make this decision yesterday. I mean, I made it a long time ago. I haven’t told you this news, because I wanted to talk to myself and people very close to me, and these people tell me. they were very supportive when I told them this decision, and they greatly encouraged me to do so. I am far from more than most temptations in the world, which is fame, and I will be far from fame, lights and artists, to whom they are coming closer.
And he continued: “The past period has brought me very close to our Lord, and I have met the Quran which told me that I must commit myself. I wear the hijab, and every need comes step by step, there is no need to come immediately , because I have taken a step and, God willing, the next step will come”.
And he continued: “I also want to tell you that as far as art is concerned, it is the source of my income. I have sat out the need to live off it, but I have sat this Saturday and I know that our Lord will bless me very much, and loved what came out of my life, and maybe after making this decision, i was put through testing situations by our lord, and when i asked people for knowledge, they told me about this, and i was under pressure to be d ‘agree or disagree, and the test was a little difficult for me, mostly because humans are weak, and maybe the show that came to mind, I’m practicing profession, and thank God I’m managed to hold on with the support of the people around me.
Zizi Adel added: “I don’t want to be afraid that art is allowed and art forbidden, because I don’t want to talk like I’m a preacher anymore. We longed for a need like this, and I wanted to die to be ready to meet our Lord, and to be satisfied with myself, with my life, with my person and with my actions.
Zizi Adel was born on October 26, 1987. She started her career after graduating from the Arab Music Institute. Her artistic debut was with the “Star Academy” competition program, and she managed to prove her talent in a short time .Then she joined Rotana and released her first album called “One Good Thing”, it was quite successful, and then she released her second album, “Alia’s Promise”, and shot many music videos which are been well received by his fans.
