A sequence of more than 5 hours shot on the iPhone 11 Pro Max at the Hermitage museum

Do you have 5 hours in front of you? Apple posted on his Russian YouTube channel a video of exactly 5 hours 19 minutes and 46 seconds which takes us around the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg.

Particularity of this project both cultural and artistic, led by the director Aksinya Gog: the film was produced in a single take, a very long sequence shot for which the autonomy of the iPhone 11 Pro Max was sufficient. There was still 19% of battery to the iPhone after the final clap.

Apple Image

As it usually does for this type of project, Apple has unveiled at iphones.ru behind the scenes of this filming which required six months of preparation, several hundred people and professional equipment.

Although it was the same iPhone that was used to film from start to finish, the team had planned a second iPhone as a back-up net and a third for reading, which would broadcast the image to the director’s iPad and line, for other employees. These three iPhones were gathered one behind the other on the same rig. An application, Wrestling, was even created especially for the needs of this film, in particular to manage the exposure settings.

The condensed version.

An English version will soon be published on Apple’s international YouTube channel. The soundtrack is available as a Apple Music playlist.
