After Paris and the area around Montparnasse station last September, the new upscale and contemporary brand of the IHG group, voco, continues its expansion in France with a second hotel open in Strasbourg.
Close to the cathedral and Petite France, the hotel is also close to the main places frequented by business travelers, being less than ten minutes walk from the station and easily accessible from the new Archipel-Wacken business district, the convention center or the European parliament.
In addition to a 53 m² meeting room, the voco Strasbourg Center – The Garden offers 120 bedrooms, a large part of which continues by a terrace. On the design side, the establishment combines reminiscences of the industrial era in its exteriors, with its facade dating from the nineteenth century enhanced by wrought iron, and a green spirit in its interiors. Garden themed hotel, public spaces flowered with tropical plants and living walls, rooms with botanical inspiration, natural materials for furnishings: the establishment aims to be an oasis of calm and tranquility.
With a backdrop large outdoor terrace and a lawn, the hotel restaurant “The Garden” also plays on and offers all day menus combining international and Alsatian specialties created from local ingredients. As for relaxation, the offer is completed by a gym, an indoor swimming pool and a spa.
New voco hotels are expected in France, particularly in Reims later this year and in Beaune in 2022. “ The brand has experienced extraordinary growth since its launch just two and a half years ago. Fifteen hotels are already open worldwide and 23 more are expected to open in the next three to five years“Said Will Yell, voco brand director for the EMEAA area within the IHG Hotels & Resorts group.
