A company from Saint-Jean-Saint-Nicolas was rewarded for its genepi this Friday.
Despite the absence of the Agricultural Show this year, canceled due to a pandemic, the company Guillaumette of Saint-Jean-Saint-Nicolas in the Hautes-Alpes, was rewarded for its genepi.
In the Aperitifs and Liqueurs category, Thomas and Perrine Bernard-Reymond and their team were awarded this Friday the trophy of the “French Excellence Prize 2021”. This award, awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, is the highest distinction that can be obtained.
This is not the first time that the region’s producers have been awarded the Prize for Excellence. Four times between 2009 and 2018, Hautes-Alpes honey had been crowned the prize list, but this is the first time that a Génépi has won the title after a gold medal obtained last year in the general agricultural competition.
