A Russian official was fatally shot in the Kherson region

The deputy head of the Russian occupation administration in Nova Kakhovka (Kherson Oblast in Ukraine, which is under Russian control) Vitaly Gura, who was seriously injured in an attempt this morning, has died. Pro-Russian blogger Yuri Koshkin was one of the first to report this on his Telegram channel. The same information is confirmed by the Russian state agency TASS.

It is reported that after the assassination Gura was evacuated to Crimea for help, but died on the way.

The attempted murder of Vitaly Gura was carried out on Saturday morning near his home. An unknown man fired with Makarov pistol by a pro-Russian administration official, the media reported. Shell casings were found at the scene. After the attack, Gura was placed in intensive care in a serious condition.

The media later reported that Saldo would be taken to the Sklifosovsky Research Institute in Moscow, and according to one of the versions, Saldo was poisoned. On Thursday, however, he explained the deterioration of his health to the effects of the coronavirus. Saldo’s condition remains unknown at this time.
