A revolutionary Commune in 1871 in Toulouse?

Less than three days, no casualties, and to finish the appointment to the post of mayor of one of its leaders … it must be agreed that the Municipality of Toulouse does not fit into the model of the movements recorded at the end of March 1871 in France .
Rémy Pech, professor emeritus at the University of Jean Jaurès and author of the work La Commune de 1871 à Toulouse, From revolt to the republican compromise, Editions Midi-Pyrénéennes, 2019, was able to go through the abundant archives left by his inspirer Armand Duportal . He will present a colorful account of this event by comparing it to other replicas of the Paris Commune, in particular to its neighbor and so different, Narbonne. He will endeavor to detect in the contemporary history of the Pink City, the forgotten heritage of an atypical Municipality.
