A fire has burned down a farm in the Montana region, bulnews.bg reported, citing information from the Ministry of Interior.
Thanks to the quick reaction of the firefighters, the house of the elderly man, which was meters away from the fire, was saved.
The fire broke out at around 10.30 am on Friday, in an outbuilding in the village of Zamfirovo. The farm is owned by an 82-year-old man.
Due to the strong wind, the flames ignited quickly and engulfed the entire farm building and the animals in it. 18 sheep, 18 lambs and 2 spikes were burned.
It is not yet clear where the fire originated, but it is most likely negligence in handling open fire.
