A professionally successful man who has failed in his personal life. Nova TV will present the new series Chlap

Viewers will soon be able to watch the new series Guy from the TV Nova workshop. Viewers will be able to watch the story inspired by the true fate of the doctor suffering from memory loss in the premiere on Thursday, March 10, at Nova and a week earlier on Voyo.

The Slovak actor Tomáš Maštalír will introduce himself to the audience in the main role of the originally never-missing primary, who suddenly does not remember the last twelve years of his life. In addition, viewers can look forward to Andrea Růžičková, Jitka Ježková, Jiří Dvořák, Jenovéfa Boková and others. The series is directed by Peter Bebjak, Róbert Šveda, Martin Kazimír and Zuzana Marianková.

Reliable, flawless and strictly rational, Dr. Frank is the head of the special diagnostics department at the prestigious Centrum Hospital. While everyone respects his top expertise and range of knowledge, few can get along with him humanely. However, due to an unpredictable event, his life turns upside down in a few seconds. Frank wakes up to a completely distant reality and, in addition to gradually discovering and understanding his surroundings, he is forced to deal with himself and the consequences of his actions.

“The guy is about a clash with something you absolutely can’t expect and you have to deal with it. And the biggest challenge is dealing with what you’ve become. “ says showrunner series Petr Bok, who collaborates on Chlap with producer Rasťo Šesták. In the past, they both won the Czech Lion for the television miniseries Actor. “A professionally successful guy who has failed in his personal life. Like husband and father. And a number of bad decisions that can’t be taken back. Now he has to go through them again, ” adds to the guy Book.

“Dr. Frank is a great expert. A little withdrawn, maybe reserved for someone, inaccessible to cold. It is his defense against the world and a way to displace the events he wants to forget. And especially his way of not being emotionally attached to his colleagues and patients, “ says about his role Tomáš Maštalír.

One of his colleagues is Jiří Dvořákwho describes his role as chief physician as: “A purposeful doctor who does everything he can to become primary.” Showrunner Petr Bok adds to his cast: “For years, the Czech series has lacked a character that would remind viewers of the legendary Dr. Cvach. In my opinion, Jirka did it absolutely brilliantly. “

She portrayed the hospital director Jitka Ježková: “When I got the script, I cried for a few of them, that speaks for itself. My character is a nice, sensitive and kind lady, but she stands firmly on the ground, even on the basis of what she has been through. But I’ve never had such a responsibility as she did, and I can’t even imagine it. “

Andrea Růžičková then summarizes its role: “Eva Ulmanová is a very mysterious and specific character for me, because a lot of what happens to her takes place in herself. Not everything can tell other people. I really enjoy the characters that have an inner world. After all, I also live an inner world that others don’t know much about. Just the closest ones. What is hidden is very close to me. “

Ivan Lupták, Dr. Tereza Černá, who “can’t do anything”, will be played by Jenovéfa Boková, a doctor from Africa who wants to study in our country and who wants to obtain a certificate, then Valér Mbila will play the audience in the role of a young and slightly light-hearted doctor. In addition to them, Jan Nedbal will also appear in Chlap as a young medic, Elizaveta Maximova as a recent graduate of the Faculty of Medicine and a head nurse played by Eva Leinweberová. The Centrum hospital was built by the creative team from scratch in Panenské Břežany near Prague.
