A number of public figures packed the Tugu Proklamasi Square, Menteng, (18/8) ahead of the declaration of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (WE).
The crowds were seen not keeping their distance and ignoring the Covid-19 health protocol. In this declaration, WE read out eight demands for the government and President Joko Widodo.
The figures who attended the action included Rocky Gerung, Din Syamsudin, Gatot Nurmantyo, Meutia Farida Hatta, and Rochmad Wahab.
Previously, the former Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Central Executive (PP) Din Syamsuddin announced US on August 2. Syamsuddin claims that WE have received support from the community in a number of areas, both at home and abroad.
