Edgardo del Villar arrived in 2013 to Telemundo to be part of the team of ‘A new day’. He was in charge of the news, but also enjoying his passage as a great and fun companion.
For this reason, this Monday, a few hours after his death, his former colleagues from the Telemundo morning show paid tribute to him, remembering not only his passage through ‘A New Day’, but what he left in each of them, and in the studio atmosphere.
Chiqui Baby, who was the last to do a live with him from New York, Adamari Lopez, who cultivated a friendship with her husband Toni Costa and golf partner of the late journalist, and Rebeka Smyth, who said that del Villar received her when she started in the chain, they were in charge of dedicating affectionate words to her.
Unable to avoid tears, Adamari told how funny the Mexican journalist was. He assured that every morning he arrived with a big smile, he loved to dance and sing.
Let us remember that, accompanied by his wife Carolina Novoa, Edgardo del Villar died this past Sunday in a hospital in New York, where he was hospitalized in serious condition.
The 51-year-old journalist had been battling for more than a year and a half an aggressive cancer that had taken up residence in his brain. Although all three tumors were successfully removed and the treatment had been successful in the first phase, sadly the disease returned.
