Travelers to the United States will soon have to test negative for the coronavirus before flying, the director of the United States Center for Disease Control (CDC) said on Tuesday. The measure will take effect from January 26, according to the Wall Street Journal.
This condition has been imposed on travelers from the United Kingdom since Christmas and follows the appearance in the country of a new variant of the coronavirus said to be more contagious than the previous ones.
The CDC has pressured the government to extend the measure.
The mutation is now also circulating in the United States.
