A movement launched by the Haitian community of Twitter to make their voice heard

Yesterday, Port-au-Prince precisely Village de Dieu was the site of a crime scene which should be the straw that broke the camel’s back. This village served for several years by armed gangs continue to terrify the population: Kidnapping, Massacre … These people are the only Masters and Lord of the Republic. Supported by senior political figures, they hold full power and assert it without constraint.

A policeman (BOID) crouching near a wall with his head riddled with bullets, the corpses of the policemen (SWAT) that is 3, dragged by the village bandits, an armored vehicle (supposedly) burnt and another appropriated by the bandits … these are briefly the clichés of the videos that have gone viral on social networks. These shocking images will undoubtedly stay for a long time in our subconscious. And yet, until this minute, there is not even a word of sympathy from the administration of the PNH for these families confused by seeing these sad images.

Indignant, Haitians on twitter decided to make their voices heard by the international community with the movement #FreeHaiti.

#FreeHaiti, it is asking the current president (de facto) to leave, asking the international not to continue supporting him. It is liberating Haiti from the oppressors who take it hostage, from these white collar workers who provide ammunition to the bandits, and from these gangsters who never stop damaging the future of the nation.

#FreeHaiti, it is to break with American hegemony, to break with the core group, the UN, which always take unfavorable decisions for Haiti.

#FreeHaitiis to give us the chance to live healthily in our country, to choose those who should lead us, to build our future.

#FreeHaiti, it is to judge all those who participated in the squandering of the funds of this country, to break with this political class which did not accomplish anything and henceforth to take in hand our destiny.

Cet Hashtag(#FreeHaiti) has become in a few hours, the political trend on twitter with so far more than 12K tweets.

“Yes, we can make our voices heard, we will do it, we will change everything together” such are the tweets of more than one, accompanied by the hashtag #FreeHaiti.
