With three days left to face each other, the tension between the supporters of the Argentine and Mexican national teams, both games without a win, is enormous.
The Mexico-Argentina match will be decisive for both teams, as the South Americans would almost certainly greet each other in the group stage with a defeat, while the Mexicans, who have reached the round of 16 in the last seven World Cups, would not have their fate in the their hands if Argentina will be successful.
Three days before Saturday night’s match, nervousness was already felt in the tournament venue, at least among the fans, because according to a video circulated on social media, the two factions were fighting.
The whole quarrel was started by the Mexicans, who said offensive things mainly to Lionel Messi. The Argentines first tried not to care, but because of the provocation, many of them threw a tantrum – that’s when the series of hitting and kicking each other began.While there is no official report, it is certain that several people were injured in the fracas.
Organizers are expecting 80,000 spectators at the Loszaíli National Stadium for the match which kicks off at 20:00 Hungarian time on Saturday.
