Thrissur: After Argentina won the soccer world cup, the owner of the hotel, who is an Argentina fan, kept his word. Shibu, the owner of the ‘Rockland’ hotel in Pallimula, Thrissur, had announced that he would give free biryani if Argentina won the World Cup. Shibu kept its promise after Argentina cheated and started serving biryani at the hotel from 11:30 on Monday. There is a long line of people, including students, in front of the hotel.
After Argentina lifted the cup in Qatar on Sunday evening, preparations for making biryani had also begun at Pallimula’s hotel, Thrissur. Shibu, an avid fan of Argentina, announced that he would give free biryani to 1,000 people. But many people have arrived in front of the hotel since Monday morning. At 11 it turned into a long queue. Shibu says no matter how many people come, he will serve biryani to everyone.
“People should leave happy, people will come and give biryani. This is the moment Messi kissed the cup. We will break it,” Shibu said.
