A global tourism branding campaign for the Philippines

The Ministry of Tourism of the Philippines is currently launching a new branding campaign to increase tourism traffic. The name of the slogan chosen for the campaign: Love The Philippines. The new branding was unveiled yesterday in Manila during the jubilee celebrations for the establishment of the Philippine Ministry of Tourism, with the participation of the President of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos, and the Secretary of Tourism of the Philippines, Cristina Garcia Fresco.

The unveiling event took place at the famous Manila Hotel, where the suite of General Douglas MacArthur, who was the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in East Asia, is located.

Philippine Tourism Secretary Fresco said that the golden celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Philippine Tourism Office are an excellent opportunity to present the Philippines to the world. According to her, the slogan chosen for the campaign well reflects the Filipino spirit and the warm welcome from the heart that every tourist in the Philippines receives. Minister Fresco added that the Philippines is a country with enormous biological diversity, with a rich culture and history, special cuisine and a fascinating human mosaic. According to her, the new branding reflects President Marcos’ vision of making the Philippines a world tourism powerhouse.

According to the data of the Ministry of Tourism of the Philippines from the beginning of the year until these days, 2,641,993 tourists visited the Philippines, while in the entire year of 2022, 2.65 million tourists visited the Philippines. The peak year for tourism from Israel to the Philippines was 2019, before the outbreak of the Corona epidemic, with 22,851 tourists. The goal regarding the Israeli market in 2023 is to approach those numbers and even surpass them in 2024.
