a garage of 500 square meters that went up in smoke

Intervention by the Gard fire brigade from 6:30 to put out the fire in a garage in Bouillargues.

Since 6:30 this Sunday morning November 13, forty firefighters from the Gard have been at work putting out the fire that hit the Dapepino Autos garage in Bouillargues, south of Nîmes.

The plant with an area of 500 m2 was completely destroyed. Aside from the ten vehicles it contained, the building was empty, so there were no injuries.

The reasons for this fire are not yet known, but in a garage they could be multiple: gas cylinders or flammable materials, explains Captain Tanguy Sagères.

It is an important intervention that required the presence of forty firefighters, fifteen vehicles and three cannon lances. If the fire is now under control, the intervention, led by Commander Sequeville, is far from over.

Firefighters must remain on site at least all day. You need to wet all hot spots to avoid any flare ups and start a long cleanup job.
