The recipe has its followers. They are even more numerous. Every Thursday evening, around forty of them take their place aboard the vessel l’Antre Temps, rue de Strasbourg in Thionville – decor inspired by the Nautilus of Twenty thousand leagues under sea and the steampunk universe – for a games aperitif that can last until midnight. The idea is simple: allow all those tempted by one or more parties to meet and compete through board games such as box escape games or investigation games while drinking a glass of soda or fruit juice accompanied by chips and candies at will. A program that appeals to both young adults and families since no less than 370 games are offered here. In the middle of a game of Seven Fallen, an eco-responsible confrontation game, David and Guilhem embarked on an hour and a half to two hours of aperitif games until the game was over and another started. L’Antre Temps, a fun bookshop created in 2021 by Adrien and David Casado, offers more than 500 book references, from science fiction novels to detective stories mixed with fantasy and nearly 400 game references, from the simplest to the most complex but always with this desire to surprise with originality.
