“A Flor de Piel”: Acmavi’s Solidarity Calendar 2023 Exhibition Inauguration.

This Friday, April 21, at 7:30 p.m., in the Vicente Poveda exhibition hall of the Petrer Cultural Center, Acmavi will inaugurate the exhibition “A flor de piel”, made up of the photographs that made up the solidarity calendar 2023. The exhibition can be visited from this same Friday until Sunday, May 7, with a schedule from Thursday to Sunday, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Joaquina Verdú, Acmavi’s secretary, highlighted that the exhibition is made up of 14 photographs of 80×80 performed by Raul Barreroa recurring photographer for the association and the solidarity calendar since 2019. Joaquina has valued not only his professional work in the photographic field, but also his involvement with Acmavi and his special touch with the models, “That can be seen reflected in the quality of the photographs, achieving a relaxed and very calm and natural environment”.

María Salud, one of the participants in the calendar and a patient with breast cancer, has said, in reference to her involvement in the association, that “She has met great people, who have contributed a lot to her illness and her life”.

Albertina, another of the participants, has added that she has felt special and like a model during the realization of the calendar, since “It has caught him at a special moment in his life, not all of them have finished the process” and, in addition, he has thanked the photo sessions in which they have felt so good, getting “That we feel very protagonists, and the group has been fantastic, we have joined forces, we have laughed, we have cried and we have shared”.

Both participants have reiterated their support for Acmavi and the need to defend associations like this one, since the statistics mark and anyone can be affected by this disease.

Acmavi is one of the reference associations in the town for the support of women with breast cancer, “who need to have a reference point where they can talk, see their doubts and feel helped and understood”Joaquina, his secretary, explained.
