A first at Coffee Time: Mark Rutte does first corona test

In the broadcast of Coffee time This morning it was seen that presenters Vivian Slingerland and Quinty Trustfull asked the outgoing Prime Minister about his first test. “Something happened before the broadcast”, Vivian began. “And that’s a first, I understand.”

Rutte then says: “Where is the camera, ladies and gentlemen? I have been tested (for corona, ed.).” Rutte had never been tested before. “I’ve never had any complaints, so I’ve never had to do a corona test until now.” And by his performance in Coffee time Rutte belongs for the first time to a so-called pre-symptomatic group, which must be tested preventively.

Initially, an attempt was made to prick blood at Rutte. “But too little blood came out. And then one of those rods went in anyway.” Rutte is therefore very pleased with the way in which Coffee time being tested. “Very good of you.”

During the RTL election debate, the outgoing prime minister was not tested, a political reporter from the NRC reported Sunday evening. “For party leaders, they were allowed to decide for themselves whether they would be tested in advance or not.”
