TV + TV has stopped its programs and news programs, confirmed to “Dnevnik” the program director Milena Daneva after earlier in the day the journalist Veselin Dremdzhiev informed on Facebook that his show “The Day with Veselin Dremdzhiev” will not be broadcast this evening.
“TV + has not received payment for its content from Bulsatcom for several months,” the host wrote. Instead of his show, which can also be watched on TV1, a concert of classical music was broadcast tonight at 8 p.m.
Daneva clarified that debts have been accumulated for months by other distributors, but Bulsatcom is the largest. She did not comment on the amount of the debt, but noted that the company that owns the television, Rosenfeld, was no longer able to generate salaries. Almost all of the TV crew have been released by the employer for a week, but she did not rule out extending it.
“I hope the debts to us will be paid, but we do not know when,” Daneva added, recalling that the television has been working with its partners for years. In response to a question, he said that he was not left with the impression that the delay in payments was due to financial problems of the contractors, but that it was too early to think about a court settlement of the dispute.
Dremdzhiev also published a reaction from Bulsatcom: “We have been a victim of extortion for 9 months. TV + refuses to hold constructive negotiations with the new management of the company.
