A festival has grown out of the series of concerts – “Liepāja Lake Music” will be held on the weekend / Article

On July 8, “Liepāja Lake Music” will offer a pop music program – performances by singers Boo and Patricia. On the second day, July 9, the nostalgic pop group “Kautkaili” and the pop/rock music collective “Rīgas Modes” will take the stage. The festival also gives new groups the opportunity to perform – on the first day, the audience will get to know young people from Ventspils – the group “6PM” or “6 pepper mixture”. The news of the second day will be “Greg John” from Liepāja, or Gregors Jānis Mažis, together with his band members. Concerts can be watched both from land and on the water – in boats, on SUP boards or on the boardwalk.

When asked about the program, festival organizer Irita Kalėja says: “We try to invite those musicians and groups who are not frequent guests in the immediate area. The musical offer must be one that we ourselves like. Accordingly, then we can talk more convincingly with the visitors. We want to attract tourists and guests to Liepāja , because our city has a lot to do, different ways to relax. Therefore, we will be happy if the festival visitors stay in Liepāja for more than one day. We are proud of our beloved Liepaja and want to show it to our guests as well.”
