Spies from youtub’s Automotive Mike channel managed to capture a camouflaged Mercedes C-Class with an aggressive front bumper, extended fenders, large wheels and four square tailpipes. These are quite typical elements of the top Mercedes-AMG with the designation 63.

But even more interesting is the sound expression that the brand’s fans are waiting for. According to behind-the-scenes information, the new C-Class will not receive in any form a larger engine than a two-liter four-cylinder.

This also applies to the top AMG 63, which will probably use both electric turbochargers and other forms of electric assistance. All this to make the car offer up to 600 horsepower of system power.

Compared to its predecessor, which had a four-liter eight-cylinder, this is a significant leap anyway. However, the engine of the masked prototype is definitely not quiet.

As before, the top C-Class will be available as both a sedan and a station wagon, and all-wheel drive is expected. The more practical version will also go directly against the very first BMW M3 Touring, which will arrive later this year with a three-liter in-line six-cylinder.

The new 63, in the class C hierarchy, sits above the recently introduced version 43, which is also powered by a two-liter four-cylinder with an electric turbocharger.
