People who were enjoying the Jungle Cruise attraction at the Magic Kingdom Park in Walt Disney World got a little more wet than they expected when their ship sank into the shallow waters of the swamp on Thursday.
Photos of one of the boats that were drinking water began to appear on social networks around noon. A Facebook post by Kimberley German shows guests climbing rails and hanging outside the ship.
Matthew Vince posted two photos on Twitter of the boat full of water. The first shows the guests standing on benches and railings trying not to get their feet wet. In the second, a cast member wades around the water to the waist since the seats of the boats are almost completely submerged.
The Disney World app suddenly increased the waiting time for Jungle Cruise, from 35 minutes to 105 minutes, indicating that it would take several hours to repair the sunken boat.
