A new death from Covid-19 in the region confirmed this Friday the Health seremi in the daily balance due to the pandemic.
The death corresponds to a person from the commune of Coquimbo, with whom the number of total deaths reaches 94 in the area.
On the other hand, 111 new cases of coronavirus were reported, confirmed in the last hours.
The patients are from the communes of Lto Serena (48), Coquimbo (35), Ovalle (12), Los Vilos (05), Andacollo (03), La Higuera (03), Illapel (02), Salamanca (02) and Canela (01).
After the new report, the accumulated cases reach 7,888, of which 1,181 remain active.
To date there are also 123 hospitalized covid patients, 37 of them in serious health and connected to mechanical ventilation.
